IKE WILSON SERVICES SATURDAY
Melvin C. (Ike) Wilson, 69, died Tuesday at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from Boothby Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Davis officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. A family prayer service will be at 1:45 at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson was born April 20, 1916 in Cherokee County, and married Ann Albers. She died in 1969. He then married Ethel Rapp. She died in 1979. He married Thelma Pinkerton Jan 3, 1981.

He was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, making his home at 423 E. Spruce St.

He had worked for Samsel Garage, Stark Trucking Company, Peterson Motors and the Cherokee Mental Health Institute, was a service manager for Dunn Chevrolet and a plumber for Peterson Plumbing.

He was affiliated with St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two step-sons, James Waddell, Handen, Conn., and Dale Rapp, Liberty, Mo.; three step daughters, Mrs. Wendell (Kayla) Sneddeker, Ogallala, Neb.; Mrs. Richard (Lynn) Nesler, Fort Dodge; and Mrs. Jodi Campbell, San Francisco, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothea Wilson, Larrabee; eight step-granchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
