MRS. JAMES BUNN DEAD
Aged Mother of Supervisor Bunn Passes Away at Washta
Mary A. Bunn, relict of James Bunn, died at the home of her son, A. Bunn, at Washta, Saturday, at the advanced age of eighty-eight years, one month and four days.

Mary Ann Seabrook was born at Slapton, England, Dec 7, 1813 and became the wife of James Bunn, of Berkhampstead, England, February 7, 1837. With her husband she came to this country in 1848, locating near Cleveland, Ohio, where she resided four years, when the family removed to Dubuque County. Here they lived fifteen years and then moved west again settling in Ida county, where they remained until the death of Mr. Bunn, which occurred in 1882, since which time deceased has made her home with her sons in this and Woodbury counties. Six children, Isaac, of Denver; Jacob, of Woodbury county; Caleb, John and Allie, of this county; and Mrs. S. E. Vandever, of Sioux Falls, S.D. survive her. Deceased became a member of the M.E. Church at the age of nine and for the remainder of her life, a period of seventy-nine years, was a faithful and conscientious member of that church. She was a devoted mother and lived to enjoy the fruits of her teachings in the positions of trust and esteem held by her children. The funeral was held in the M.E. Church at Washta, Monday, Rev. Shirk, of that church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Gilmore, and the body was interred in Good Hope cemetery, Woodbury county.
