Alice Witcombe, 77, died Tuesday, February 13 at 12:20 pm at 767 North First Street here, after a brief illness.

For the past 12 years she had lived in Cherokee. Prior to that she had been a resident of the Washta community.

Three sons and three daughters survive. They are: Dick and John Witcombe, both of Cherokee and Albert of Norwalk, Calif.; Mrs. Evan (Ruth) Booth and Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Nation, both of Cherokee and Mrs. Victor (Norma) Nemec, Dallas, Texas. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs.Emily Needs of Washta and Mrs. William Reese of England.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1950 and by a daughter, Edith, in 1925.

Funeral services will be Friday February 16 at 1:30 pm from Boothby Funeral Home with Rev. Owen Wilmot and Rev. J. E. Feller officiating. Burial is to be in Washta Cemetery.
