James R. Vining Services Wednesday
Eugene, Ore. - James R. Vining, 29 died Saturday at Sacred Heart Hospital here following a massive stroke.

Memorial services will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee with the Rev. Eugene Tolstedt officiating. The body was cremated in Oregon and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee at a later date.

Mr. Vining was born Oct 2, 1955, in Sioux City. He attended school in Cherokee, graduating in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army. He had lived in Eugene, Ore., the last six years and was a student in North Bend, Ore.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. & MRs. R. J. "Tony" Vining of Cherokee, a sister, Nancy, of Fort Collins, Colo., and a nephew.
