Richard A. Eley, 82
Richard A. Eley, 82, Cherokee died Sept 21 in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee, following a brief illness.
He was born July 16, 1911 at South Haven, Mich. He and his family moved to Cherokee at a young age. He graduated from Cherokee High School. He had been a resident of Cherokee most of his life. He was a former member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Vincent Allison.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Louis Allison of Cherokee; three nieces, Nancy Goodspeed, Ruth Woodcock and Mary Allison all of Ft. Worth, Texas; and six grand-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Eley was cremated. Private graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee at a later date. The Boothby Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
