Another Death from Diphtheria

It is our painful duty this week to record the death of Frankie Heymer, son of Mrs. Frank Ellis, which occurred about 7:30 Saturday morning. He had been under the care of physicians about a week, but the disease, diphtheria, had secured such a hold that the from the first his case was an almost hopeless one. It was the most virulent form, and blood poison set in early in the week, so that very little could be done for him in the way of successful treatment. Frankie was a bright, winsome lad, about thirteen years of age, and the grief of the mother, stepfather and other relatives knows no bounds. The funeral took place at 8 o’clock the same day.

Though friends could not be present to attend the funeral or minister to the wants of those in distress, their hearts were in the right place, and numerous floral tributes were sent, among them the following: Cross of cut flowers, Adah and Fred Snidecor; cross of cut flowers, Rachael Cochrane and Maggie MacAllister; satten handpainted cresent Rete and Orville Miller; boquet cut flowers Mrs. J.A. Henderson; basket cut flowers, Bessie Wilson; basket cut flowers Mesdames Corbet and Snidecor; boquets cut flowers, Mrs. Payton, Mrs. D.B. Ashenfelter, Mrs. Goldie.
