Mrs. Alex Brown died at her home in this city Monday, Sept. 8, 1890, at 3:13 a.m. aged 47 years and 10 months. The deceased has been an invalid for twelve years and for several years has been a great sufferer. Her sufferings have been borne with great patience and Christian fortitude, to which those who have been brought nearest her can testify. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church yesterday, conducted by the G.A.R. A large number of sympathizing friends were present. The deceased was a native of Ohio and the family are numbered among the old settlers of Cherokee.
