OBITUARY

REIST-In Cherokee on Satuday, April 12, 1890, Kate, beloved wife of S. B. Reist.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Kate G. Sell, was born in Chambersburg, Pa., March 4, 1848. In 1865 she removed with her parents to Hagerstown, that state, and in 1871 was united in marriage with S.B. Reist. In the year 1879 she became a christian and was known as a devoted follower of Christ. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church on Sunday afternoon and were very largely attended. Rev. W.L. Ferris preached the sermon. Mrs. Reist leaves a husband and several children the youngest a baby but a few days old. In their great bereavement they have the sympathy of the entire community.
