DIED

WHITEHOUSE-On Feb. 27, 1891, at his home in Cherokee, Isaac Whitehouse, aged 74 years, 8 months and 16 days.

Deceased was born in Smithfield township, Somerset county, Maine. In the year 1844 he was married to Mary C. Rankins of Rome township, in same state. In 1866, he came to Boone county, Iowa, and three years afterwards he moved to Pilot township, Cherokee county, where he lived until 1882, when he retired from his farm and moved to Cherokee, About three years ago his health failed seriously and from that time till the end the decline, though slow was sure. His wife and four sons are all living and reside in Cherokee county. He was buried March 2nd in Good Hope church cemetery, Pilot township. The large attendance at the funeral showed that he was well known and highly respected. His end was peace. The funeral service was conducted by Elder Patterson.

And bloom to fade no more.”
