DIED

LITTLEFIELD-Elizabeth Hancock was born in Milford, Mass., Feb. 11, 1833. She was married in 1857 to Ammiel Littlefield of the same place. They resided in her native town till the year 1879, when they removed to Cherokee, Ia., where she lived till the day of her death, Dec. 12, 1889.

She became Christian very early life, and for many years was a member of the Congregational church. The deceased was one who knew what it was to suffer and she “endured as seeing him who is invisible.” She lived a faithful, sincere and noble life. She will be missed in the church and Sabbeth school, where she was such a constant attendant. Her husband and sons and daughters all have the sympathy of the community in this their affliction.

Rev. W.L. Ferris preached the funeral sermon from “Weeping may endure for a night, but how cometh in the morning.”

A large number were present at the services which were held in the Congregational church Friday.
