Word has been received here of the death of a former Cherokee County deputy assessor, Walter D. Lynch, who died of a heart attack at his home at 816 West 5th Street in Tempe, Arizona.

Walter was born July 23,1890 at Kamrar, IA. He passed away Dec. 22, 1965.

Requiem Mass was held at 9:00,a.m Dec. 27, 1965 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Entombment was at St. Francis Mausoleum in Phoenix.

He is survived by his widow, Edna Blake Lynch;a daughter, Betty and her husband Herbert Hesch;and a son John D. Lynch and his wife,Anita, all of Tempe.
