4 March 2000MARCUS, Iowa — Margaret Anna Catherine Tschill, 93, formerly of Marcus, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, Iowa.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, with the Rev. Richard Remmes officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Visitation begins after 2 p.m. Sunday, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m., at Earnest & Roethler Funeral Chapel in Marcus.
Mrs. Tschill was born June 11, 1906, in Baschleiden, Luxemborg, the daughter of John and Mary Madeline (Majerus) Lamberty. At the age of 3, she and her family came to the United States. They moved to the Marcus/Granville area.
She married Eugene Paul Tschill on Oct. 12, 1925. They lived in the Marcus area. He died July 8, 1958. She entered the Sutherland Care Center on April 7, 1996.
She belonged to Holy Name Catholic Church and St. Ann's Guild. She enjoyed church, gardening and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Hope Parker of Plant City, Ha., and Carole and her husband Roger Negus of Sutherland; eight grandchildren, Phyllis, Janis, Sharon, Don, Doug, Cherie, Cathi and Wendi; and 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; and a nephew.
