LE MARS, Iowa — Mary "Elaine" Meylor, 72, of Le Mars died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Andrew Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Marcus, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday. with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., at Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Miss Meylor was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Marcus, the daughter of Ray and Mary (Cox) Meylor. She was raised in Cherokee, Iowa and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

She received her degree in nursing from. St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Sioux City. She was employed as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and later at Marian Health Care in Sioux City. While at Marian Health Care, she worked in the intensive care unit and in Rehab. She retired in the early 1990s.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Survivors include three brothers, Paul Meylor and his wife, Betty of Cherokee, Dr. Don Meylor and his special friend, Jo Irwin, of Okoboji, Iowa, and Dr. R.J. Meylor and his wife, Ann of Le Mars; three sisters, Ann and her husband, John Hoomany, of Boca Raton, Fla., Jharleth "Ginger" Sitzmann of Mill Valley, Calif., and Dr. Ramona and her husband, Dr. Al Kennedy, of Cherokee; and 30 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dean Meylor; and a brother-in-law, Roman Sitzmann.

Pallbearers will he Bob, David and Dr. Wayne Meylor, Dr. Frank and Dr. Pat Sitzmann and John Kennedy.
