Palice Tine Young
Palice Tine (Dad) Young who was born in Washburn, Mo., in 1865, died in Cherokee on October 21, at the age of 89 years nine days.
In 1930 he married Cora Chadd who preceded him in death in 1931.**
The couple had six children: Clyde of Bloomfield, Ia., Claud of Cherokee, Mrs. Roy Hendrix of Chester, Ark., Elbert of Cherokee, Mrs. Fay Pettengill of Larrabee, Mrs. Oren Kelly of Larrabee.
He moved his family to Iowa in 1919. He spent most of his live on a farm in Afton Township. He lived in Cherokee the last ten years.
He is survived by his six children, 21 grand-children, 31 great grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Boothby Funeral Home on October 23, Burial was in Afton cemetery.

* On his death certificate, his name is spelled Palas Tine Young. His tombstone in Afton Cemetery has his name spelled as Palace Young
