Aurelia--Clara Ogle Anderson was born in Ogle county, Illinois, Nov. 10, 1862, and departed this life at her home in Afton township December 19, 1928, at the age of 66 years 1 month and 9 days.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Roxanna Ogle. She was the sixth child of a family of ten children. She came in a covered wagon with her widowed mother, to Iowa in 1878 and settled in Afton township for a few years, and later moved to the Ogle farm in Spring township.
In the year 1890 she was married to Robert Anderson and the next few years were spent in farms in Afton and Spring township. In 1901 they moved to their present home where the balance of her life was spent.
To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive her. Samuel J., Guy W., Blanch E., Floyd T., Ben T., Arthur T. and Walter D. She is also survived by her husband Robert Anderson, two brothers, William Ogle of Larrabee, Ia., Fred Ogle of Cherokee; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cave and Mrs. Susie Smith of Cherokee; also thirteen grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Anderson was very much interested in the Afton cemetery association and was the president of the same for the past eleven years, and was instrumental in developing it into one of the best rural cemeteries in the state.
Mrs. Anderson was a great home lover and her interest centered in her children. No sacrafice was too great to make for them.
Funeral services were held from the home Friday afteroon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J.F. Moore of Aurelia. Burial was in Afton cemetery.
