Colvin Ogle, last evening received a telegram from Greeley, Colorado stating that his father, F.M. Ogle, has passed away at 1:40 Friday afternoon Jan. 6. He has received a letter yesterday, written a few days before, stating that Mr. Ogle was in very bad condition, suffering from gall stones, but no information has been received as to whether or not an operation was performed.
Mr. Ogle will be accompanied to Cherokee, Ia., the old family home, where funeral services will be held probably Monday or Tuesday. Burial will be made in the home cemetery there by the side of the son, Marion, who was killed in an accident in October, 1820.**

The family was held in high esteem here and the news of Mr. Ogle's death will be received with much sorrow. The entire family were members of the Congregational church here and several of the children were graduated from the Newton High School.
Fred Ogle, a brother of the deceased resides here and will go to Iowa to attend the funeral.
Mr. Ogle leaves his wife and the following children: Emmett, Ernest, Daphne and Sadie, who are at home with the mother, Alice is teaching school in Iowa, Covin and wife of this city, Arthur and Herman of Wyoming. Arthur has been with his father for several weeks.
