Mrs. Purl Cave

Bernice Mildred Cave, daughter of Joseph and Frances Stoner, was born August 29, 1888 at Cherokee, IA, and died as a result of a car accident near Cherokee on October 28, 1959 at the age of 71 years.

On February 12, 1910 she was united in marriage with Purl Cave at Larrabee. The couple made their home in Cherokee County. They would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary next February.

Mrs. Cave became a member of the First Church of Christ in 1924.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Lawrence Cave of Storm Lake and Wayne Cave and Mrs. Maxine Jenness, both of Cherokee, five grandchildren, Lorraine and Loren Cave of Storm Lake, Paula and Peggy Jenness and Alan Cave, all of Cherokee. A brother, Lester Stoner of Jacksonville, Fla., also survives.

Funeral services for her and her husband were held October 31 at the First Church of Christ with the Rev. Owen Wilmot officiating. Burial was in Afton Cemetery with Boothby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
