Mary I. Moses, 81, Cherokee
Mary I. Moses, 81, of Cherokee, died Sunday, 20 Oct. 1991 at 8:27 a.m. in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital suddenly due to an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday 22 Oct.) at 1:30 p.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home. Rev. Sushil Joseph will officiate & burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home today.
She was born on 23 Apr. 1910 at Oto to William & Emma Blackford Moses. She had graduated from Cherokee High School. She had been a resident of Cherokee most of her life & was currently living at 420 Magnetic St. with her longtime friend, Allene Paulson. She had worked at the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in the Dietary Department for many years. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church & the Hawkeye Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother & 3 sisters.
She is survived by 1 brother & his wife, Wayne & Moneta Moses of Otho; 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Reusch of Spencer, & Mrs. Ilene Nelson of Lemars; & 1 sister-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Moses of Cherokee.
