County’s Oldest Civil War Veteran Expires
William C.[Clark] Marsh, who was the oldest of Cherokee county's two remaining Civil war veterans, passed away at his home in Aurelia Wednesday after noon at 5:20 o'clock. He would have reached his 99th birthday had he lived until March 31. His death resulted from infirmities of old age.

Mr. Marsh had been confined to bed since Christmas and gradually grew weaker until the end.

Funeral services will be held at the home the fore part of next week probably Monday, pending the arrival of a daughter, Mrs. B. R. Wilson, of Hazelton, B.C. Canada
