Claire Andrew Booth, son of George and Verna Corrington Booth, was born August 5, 1930, near Cherokee, Iowa, and died November 18, 1935, at his home in Elk township at the age of five years, three months and thirteen days. He is survived by his parents and five brothers and sisters, Helen, Donald, William, Dale and Patty. Services for Claire were held Wednesday from the Booth home in Aurelia and from the Congregational church. Vere, Robert, and Vernon Corrington and Robert Booth served as pall bearers. Burial was in the Elk cemetery. (abstract, Aurelia Sentinel, 11-28-1935)

Note: in another article, it said that little Clair had been playing with a loaded shotgun, which discharged, shooting him in the face.
