Katie M. McDied, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 1966 at the Rochester Nursing home in Rochester, Minn., where she had been living for the last 2 1/2 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 20 from the Wharton Funeral home, with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

OBITUARY

Katie May, daugher of E. L DeVore and Emma (Leonard) DeVore was born east of Aurelia on Aug. 21, 1884. She and her family moved to Aurelia when she was 16 years of age.

She married Jess McDeid in 1910 and their union was blessed with two sons, Forest and Espy.

Her husband, her two sons, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marion Fossen of Northfield, Minn.; three nieces, Mrs. Mary Botineaux of New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Cleo (DeVore) Powers of Los Altos, Calif. and Mrs. Helen (DeVore) Rutherford of Litchfield, Minn.
