Mrs. Elizabeth Miller died Jan. 22, 1917 at St. Petersburg, Florida, where she and Mr. Miller had been vacationing during the winter. The remains were brought to Storm Lake Friday morning of last week and services were held Saturday at the Lakeside Presbyterian church. Interment was in the mausoleum at the Storm Lake cemetery.
Elizabeth Whetlock was born in St. Joseph county, Indiana, August 26, 1843. She was married in 1858 to C. C. Denio, by which marriage three children were born to her, two of whom survive her and mourn her departure, one daughter, Fannie, having died in childhood.
In 1875 she was married to W. P. Miller, coming to Aurelia, Iowa where the greater number of years have been happily spent. In 1915 she and her husband moved to Storm Lake where they made a new home for their declining years.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, W. P. Miller, one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Reynolds of Orlando, Florida, and one son, A. L. Denio of Alta, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. B. F. Miller of Des Moines, and many other relations and a host of friends. (Aurelia Sentinel, 2/1/1917)
