Mrs. Axelina Isakson, who came to Cherokee county from Sweden nearly 50 years ago, died at her home at 711 Roosevelt avenue Saturday noon. She was to observe to ninety-ninth birthday anniversary Thursday, Oct. 25.

Mrs. Isakson was born at Loknevi county, Kalmar Lane, Sweden, in 1835. At the age of 50 years, she came, with her husband, to America, settling on a farm in Diamond township. They moved to the present home in Cherokee seven years ago and Mr. Isakson died the following year. Mrs. Isakson is the mother of four children, two sons, A. W. Isakson of Cherokee and J. A. Isakson of Minnesota, and two daughters, Mrs. C. O. Lentz of Riverside, California and Mrs. Selma Peterson of Cherokee. (abstract, Cherokee Times, 10-18-1934)
