BEULAH LILLEFLOREN

Beulah Lillefloren, 82, of Cherokee, Iowa, died Wednesday April 29, 2009 in the Cherokee Villa, Cherokee, Iowa following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be held Saturday May 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor James Steen will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, Iowa, at a later date. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Beulah was born on November 19, 1926 in Freeborn County, Minnesota to Simon and Ellen (Christensen) Lee. She attended school in Albert Lea, Minnesota. On January 19, 1947 she married Clarence E. “Ken” Lillefloren in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1980. Beulah worked for Wilson Foods in Albert Lea for several years. In 1965 they moved to Cherokee, Iowa where she ran the Ceramics Plus business. Beulah enjoyed gardening and flowers. She also taught ceramics adult education classes. She was a member of the Sioux Valley Hospital Auxiliary and also the Bethlehem Lutheran Ladies Guild.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Mallory, of Cherokee, IA; two sons, Jeff Lillefloren and his wife, Deb, of Cherokee, IA; Jay Lillefloren and his wife, Diana, of Anaheim, CA; five brothers, Charles Lee and his wife, Tootie, of Albert Lea, MN; Simon Lee Jr. and his wife, Arlene, of Albert Lea, MN; Kenneth Lee and his wife, Darlene, of Morganton, GA; Richard Lee and his wife, Sheila, of Paulso, WA; Gary Lee and his wife, Mona, of Mankato, MN; a sister, Joyce Sward and her husband, Roger, of Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren, Heath and Matt Mallory, Christopher Lillefloren, Heidi Campbell, Casey Lillefloren, Michelle McGarry, Kristina Lillefloren, Amber and Briana McGarry, and Cody Frei; 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ken.
