ADELE A. FOGLEMAN
(August 27, 1922 - September 26, 2008)

ADELE A. FOGLEMAN, 86, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Adele was born on August 27, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to Albin & Elsie (Hanson) Johnson. She attended schools in Brooklyn, New York. She was married to James Fogleman on September 9, 1942 at Elk Point, South Dakota. She had lived in Cherokee since 1976, prior to this lived in Washta for 32 years. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends and she loved to read.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James in 1974, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her 3 children: Jean Eckert and her husband Bill of Emmetsburg, Iowa; Pat Compton and her husband Jim of Aurelia, Iowa; Ronald Fogleman and his wife Judy of Costa Mesa, California; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren: Tonya Baker and her husband Nate of Moville, Iowa and their children Tyler and Brooke Bauer; Jody Radke and her husband Matt of Sheldon, Iowa and their children MacKensey, Payton, Brennan and Blake Radke; Jamie Compton and his wife Stacy of Spokane, Washington; Dawn Bain and her husband Denny of Kingsley and their children Madelyn and Kassandra Bain; Heather Marx and her husband Curt of Red Wing, Minnesota and their children Jack and Nic Marx; Nicole Salazar and her husband Paul of California and their son Cole; Amanda Fogleman of California.
