Sheila Collins Ehrich, 74, died on Aug. 5, 2008 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. from ovarian cancer.

Sheila was born in Cherokee in 1933 and attended Immaculate Conception School through graduation. Her parents were Louis Collins and Mary "Pudge" Lockyer Collins of Cherokee. Her grandparents were Joseph Lockyer and Katherine Hanlon Lockyer of Cherokee and Daniel Collins and Elizabeth Treinen Collins of Marcus.

Sheila wanted to be remembered as the wife of Duffy (Glen) Ehrich and the mother of Rebecca, Timothy, Jennifer and Daniel. She was also the grandmother of Joshua and Isabel and the mother-in-law of Laurie, Donna and Robert. She was beloved by all of us.

Sheila and Duffy were the most wonderful parents and grandparents. They gave their children lives filled with security, adventure and love. Their kindness and courage are a great inspiration that lives on.
