Dinah Jean Lynch, age 41, of Cushing, went to be with Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior on March 16, 2008.
Services were held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church of Cushing, with Reverend Bev Wolff of St. John Lutheran Church and Chaplain Don Agostine officiating. Burial was in the Cushing Cemetery of Cushing.
Dinah was born on May 23, 1966, the daughter of James W. Garvin Jr. and Judith A. Peterson in Cherokee. Dinah graduated from Washington High School in Cherokee, in 1985. She attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and earned a degree in nursing. She was employed at the Holstein Good Samaritan Center as a nurse.
Dinah was married to Tommy Lynch in the St. John Lutheran Church of Cushing, in 1989. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, caring for others, shopping, and traveling. The greatest treasures in her life were her children and her grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith A Peterson and her father, James W. Garvin Jr.
Her memory will always be cherished by her husband, Tommy Delas Lynch; five children, Amy Bremer and husband Mike from Holstein, Jeremiah Bakker and wife Rachel of Holstein, Jennifer Bakker and fiancé Christopher Kreger of Cushing, IA, Alexandra Lynch and significant other Travis Jensen of Correctionville, and Allison Lynch of Cushing; one grandchild, Corbyn Kreger; three sisters, Gwen and Charles Mann of Cherokee, Cathy Dressen of St. Cloud, Minn, Mary and Mitch Marcellus of Lennox, S.D.; a brother, Jim and Jenette Garvin of Clinton, Mo.; an uncle, Richard and Dixie Swisher of Des Moines; and many special nieces and nephews.
A special thanks goes to the medical staff at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center and the Siouxland Hospice nursing staff.
