Roberta L. Mohr, 56, of Wentworth, S.D, passed away on Jan. 28, 2008 at the Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota. Memorial Services were held on Jan 31 at 1 p.m. at the Randal Funeral Home of Madison, S.D. Rev. Verlyn Hanson officiated.
Roberta was born June 21, 1951 in Cherokee, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Roberts) Gum. She grew up at Washta where she attended school. She moved with her family to Madison,S.D. in 1968. She then attended and graduated from Madison High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Mohr on December 31, 1969 at Madison, S.D.
Roberta (Bert) held various jobs though out her life in the Madison/Wentworth area. She later attended and graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in Modern Office Systems in 1990. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Madison. She also worded with her husband Bob as an over the road truck driver.
She was preceded in death by her mother Feb. 1, 1988 and grandparents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert (Bob) Mohr, Wentworth, S.D.; two daughters, Renae Selken 'DePatie (Joe), Rutland; Ranie Ruthig (John), Clay Center, Kan.; her father Earl Gum, Madison, S.D,; four grandchildren, three brothers: Raymond (Judy) Gum, Cherokee; Paul (Lori) Gum, Joe (Jeanie) Gum, Sioux Fall, S.D.; a sister Ann Smith of Humboldt. As well as numerous other relatives and friends.
