Patricia K. Chase, 73, of rural Washta, Iowa passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at her home. It was Patricia's wish to be cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is in charge of the arrangements
She was born on Feb. 14, 1934 at Quimby, to Kendell & Bernece (Smith) Palmer. She graduated from Quimby High School in 1952. She was married to Walter Leroy Chase and to this marriage, three children were born, Scott, Rocky and Tammy.
She had worked at the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee as an LPN for 27 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church and was also associated with the Washta Methodist Church and a member of U.M.W. She was also active with the Quimby Cemetery Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 5, 1962, and a grandson Christopher Jay Chase.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Scott Chase and his wife Dorothy of Peru, Neb.; Rocky Chase of Aurora, Mo.; Tammy Cronin and her husband John of Pratt, Kan.; several grandchildren; one brother William Palmer and his wife Deane of Lakeland, Fla.
