Joyce Montgomery Bunker, 79, Lehighton, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 19. She was the widow of Joseph E. Bunker, Jr.
Services were held Dec. 28 in Lehighton, Pa.
She was born in Washta, the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Goodrich) Montgomery. She was of the Protestant faith. She graduated from high school in Cherokee in 1946.
Prior to retiring, Joyce Bunker was employed as a house parent in the Personal Care Division of the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she was a caregiver to the elderly. She also worked for Quality Personal Care at Lehighton.
She was a member of the Women's Club and the Women's Club Book Club, and also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program in the Lehighton and surrounding area.
Survivors include a daughter, Eddie Jo, wife of Wayne Gaston of Lehighton; two sons, Mike Bunker, and his wife, Janice Delaney, in Montana and Craig Bunker, and his wife, Dorothy of Savannah, Ga.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Scott Bunker; a brother William; and two sisters, Betty Ogilvy and Mary Ann Hasenwinkel.
The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home of Lehighton was in charge of arrangements. Cards may be sent to her family at 1820 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, Pa.
