Kathryn F. Mueller Jacobsen, 85, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa died Sunday November 18, 2007 at the Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville, Iowa following a brief illness.

Services will be held Saturday November 24, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, Iowa. Father Armand Bertrand will officiate. Burial will be in the Maryhill Visitation Cemetery, rural Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Greenwood Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Kathryn was born February 21, 1922 in Cherokee, Iowa to Mathias and Lena (Glassmaker) George. She was educated at the Maryhill School in rural Cherokee County. On August 11, 1947 she married Emil A. Mueller at Maryhill. He preceded her in death, December 3, 1967. On November 26, 1976 she married Norman Jacobsen in Cherokee, Iowa. He preceded her in death July 11, 1980. She was a home maker all of her life and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include sons, David Mueller, of Sheldon, Iowa; Joseph Mueller, and his wife, Carol, of Aloha, Oregon; James Mueller, and his wife, Julie, of Pella, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a step-son, Roger Weberg, and his wife, Wanda, of Bemidji, Minnesota; stepdaughters, Ione Stiles, and her husband, Chuck, of Mobridge, South Dakota, Norma Wiebe, of Henderson, Nevada; 13 step-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son (Dennis Mueller).
