1923-2007 REDIG FUNERAL HOME

Funeral services for Merle Brune, 84, of Aurelia will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Harold Werley officiating. Burial will be in the Correctionville, Iowa Cemetery.

Merle Henry Brune was born Jan. 7, 1923, the son of Elmer and Elsie Emma ( Todd) Brune in Correctionville, Iowa. He attended country schools in the Correctionville area. In 1940 the family moved to Diamond Township where Merle farmed, and enjoyed raising cattle and hogs. He moved to Aurelia in Jan. 1989.

Merle died Sat. Nov. 17, at Sunset Knoll Care and Rehab Center in Aurelia where he had been a resident since Feb.2, 2002.

Preceding Merle in death were his parents, and his sister , Fern Brune on May 20, 1996.

Survivors include 1 brother, Elmer Jr. ,of Colorado Springs CO .
