Nicki A. Decker, 35, died Sat. at the Baxter Apartments in Ida Grove where he had made his home for the last 10 years.

Services will be held at the Greenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald McCollam officiating . Burial will be in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee.

Nicki was born Aug. 8, 1956 in Emmetsburg to Harold and Ruth (Sanders) Decker. He attended school in Algona and later Washington High School in Cherokee. He was employed as a finish painter at VT Industries in Holstein.

Survivors include his parents and 4 sisters, Mrs Laurence ( Judy) Claussen , Mrs. Kenneth ( Becky ) Noblitt and Mrs. Ryan (Hope) McCollam of Cherokee, Mrs. Larry ( Jane ) Jaminet of Aurelia, 4 brothers, William Decker, , Michael Decker and his wife Julie and Brian Decker and his wife Valerie, all of Cherokee; 19 nieces and nephews and his granmother, Mrs. Hazel Decker of Algona.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Mrs. Sharon Decker.
