Elizabeth Catherine Blake, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at her home at 302 S. 10th St. in Cherokee. Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Methodist Church, interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Elizabeth Catherine Gill was born at West Branch Ia, January 9th, 1882, being at the time of her death , 45 years, 3 months and 20 days . She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Daniel Gill of Meriden. As a child, she moved to this county with her parents and they settled on a farm near Meriden. On May 6, 1902, she married Edgar Arthur Blake and to this union 3 daughters were born. Elizabeth Annette, deceased, Francis Emily , a teacher at Gaza, and Ruth Bernadine at home. Beside her parents, husband and daughters she leaves to mourn 3 brothers and 3 sister,. namely , Fred, Frank and Harry Gill all of Meriden; Mrs. Fred Russell and Mrs. Sherm Woltman of Cherokee and Mrs Rae Board of Los Angeles, Calif.
