Funeral Services for Carl E. Peterson, 69, of Aurelia were held here Sat. Sept. 22, at the Congregational Church Of Christ with Robert Loffer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery at Meriden. Pallbearers were Robert Orr, Rex Whitney, Donald Wieland, Stewart Gustafson, Kenneth Johnson, and Cliff Wilson.

He passed away Sept. 19th at Sioux Valley Memorial Hosp. following a long illness.

Carl E. Peterson was born Nov. 16, 1903 in Cherokee County where he farmed all his life. On Feb. 1, 1942 he was united in marriage with Amy Mason at Cherokee. In 1970 the Petersons retired and moved to Aurelia.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry of Sioux Center; a daughter , Mrs. Keith (Beth) Troyer of Bloomington Minn.; three brothers, Anton of St. Johns Mich. John and Herbert of Aurelia and 2 grandchildren
