Dennis A. Law, 58, of rural Quimby, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007 at his home.

Funeral services were held on, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Quimby United Methodist Church. Rev. Carolyn Hollar officiated, and burial was in the Correctionville Cemetery.

Dennis was born Jan. 28, 1949 at Cushing to Junior C. and DuVonne “Bonnie” (Gray) Law. He graduated from Quimby High School in 1968 and then attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City.

His home was on a farm in Pilot Township and had been a resident of Cherokee County practically all his life. He had worked for Simonsen’s in Quimby and had also worked for Continental Deli in Cherokee for several years retiring in 2006.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, attending sporting events with his brother and sprint car races with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2003.

He is survived by his father Junior C. Law of Quimby, and his special friend Maria Meyers of Sioux City; one brother Randy Law and his wife Mary Anne of Agency, Mo.; two nieces: Kristi Bongers and her husband Peter of San Diego, Calif. and Valerie Law of Kansas City, Mo.
