Mrs. Harold(Edna) Woltman, 84, of rural Cherokee died Sunday, December 6, 1998 at 4:50p.m. in the Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia, IA following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 9th, at 10:30a.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee,IA. Mr. Gregg Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, IA.

She was born October 9, 1914 in Cherokee County, Iowa to Albert and Ethel (Hoke) Prunty. She graduated from Cleghorn High School in 1933. She was married to Harold G. Woltman on February 21, 1940 at Sioux City, Iowa. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and loved to bake for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Harold Woltman Jr., one sister Winifred Swanson and two brothers Cyril and Kenneth Prunty.

She is survived by her husband Harold, 5 sons and 1 daughter: Doyle and Nancy Woltman of Cherokee; Deanne and Dick Howard of Cherokee; Merlin and Sue Woltman of Quimby, IA;Duane Woltman of Cherokee; Lloyd and Kathy Woltman of Cherokee; Darrell Woltman and his fiance Lori Heubrock of Cherokee; 7 grand children: Derek and Kristin Woltman, Tim and Tracey Sievers, Cindy Husman, Dr. Michael Woltman; Christopher Woltman; 7 great grandchildren: Jessica, Coltin, Raquel, Nicholas, Alison, Lauren, and Marc; one brother Franklin Prunty of Perry, IA.
