Albert V. Fierk, 72, died about 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 in Cherokee after a short illness.
He had served for 30 years as a rural mail carrier and had retired in 1950.
He was a member of the Aurelia Congregational Chuch, Rural Letter Carriers Assn, and the Modern Woodsmen Lodge.
Surviving him are his wife, Lillie of Aurelia; 4 daughters, Mrs. Clyde Leeds of Corydon; Mrs. Arnold Faber of Cherokee; Mrs. A.J. Byerly of Red Bluff, Calif.; and Mrs. Edger Allen of Aurelia and 1 son, Vernon of Aurelia; and 14 Grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Effie Johnson of Aurelia.
Funeral Services were held Mon. Feb. 3rd at 2.00 p.m. from The Aurelia Congregational Church with the Rev. Douglas Ostland officiating.. Pleasant
Hill cemetery. Aurelia, was the buriel place.
Wharton Funeral Home, Aurelia was in charge of the arrangements.
