Danny C. Rose, 68, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., formerly of Meriden, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in Mesa, Ariz.

Services will be at a later date in Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Apache Junction Mortuary in Apache Junction, Ariz.

Danny C. Rose was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Omaha. He graduated from Marcus (Iowa) High School in 1958.

He married Judith A. Anderson on Sept. 4, 1959. They had three sons, James, David and Keith. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 to 1965. He was the general manager of the C.M.L. Telephone Corporation in Meriden for 37 years (1964 to 2001), retiring December 2001. He moved to Gold Canyon Ariz. in 2004.

He was very active in the Iowa Telephone industry, serving on many boards promoting growth, training and the best possible service to the customer. He was very community oriented and was active in supporting and serving their needs. Family and friends were important to him. He enjoyed vacationing and wintering in Arizona.

Survivors include his wife, Judith; three sons, James and Tammy of Apache Junction, Ariz., David of Whitehall, Mont., and Keith of Omaha; grandchildren, Danny, Tina and Bryan; sister-in-law, Lela Rose of Cleghorn, Iowa; brother-in-law, Conley Anderson of Cherokee, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and their husbands, Betty and Harry Tyler, Janet and Hershel Rucker and Jill and C.T. Jones; two brothers, James and Perry "Bill" Rose; father and mother-in-law, Emil and Alyce Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Carol Anderson.
