Linda McDonald, 59, of 415 E. Cedar St., Cherokee, Iowa passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at her home following an extended illness.

Services will be held Saturday March 24, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Meriden Evangelical Free Church, Meriden, Iowa. Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Greenwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.greenwoodfuneral.com.

Linda was born on February 8, 1948 in Primghar, Iowa to Burdette and Lillian (Buss) Menke. She graduated from Washington High School Cherokee, Iowa in 1966. On December 21, 1968 she married Jim McDonald. Linda worked as a bookkeeper at Builders Sharpening and Supply for many years. She loved her Lord, her family, her church family and so many dear friends.

She is survived by her husband, two children; Mike McDonald and his wife, Susy, of Ankeny, Iowa, Jill Johnston and her husband, Neal, of Meriden, Iowa; granddaughters Emma McDonald, Taylor and Trista Johnston, a sister; Darleen Agnitsch and her husband, Jack, of Cherokee, Iowa, brothers; Rick Menke and his wife, Jeanette, of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jerry Menke and his wife, Vicky, of Cherokee, Iowa, Randy Menke and his wife, Kathy, of Cherokee, Iowa, Larry Menke of Cherokee, Iowa, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
