Charles Schulke , 85, of Aurelia, died Wed. at Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia.

Services were held Mon., Dec. 31, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. Buriel was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Aurelia, under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home in Aurelia.

Charlie was born Feb. 22, 1899, in Diamond Twp, Cherokee County Ia. He married Delia Paulson on Dec. 15, 1921, in Cherokee Ia. They farmed in the Aurelia area until retireing and moving to Aurelia in 1964.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Tom ( Nadine) Pettis of Mt. Holly S.C. and Mrs. Richard (Janice) Ogren , Of Council Bluffs, Ia. 8 sons, Gordon of Brainerd Minn., Kenneth of La Grange Ill. Carlton and Neil, of Aurelia, James of Sprekles,Calif; Douglas of Ida Grove,IA.; Byron of Ames Ia. and Dana of Garner Ia. 30 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Delia, on Aug. 8 , 1980
