Chris Miller, 78, formerly of Paullina, died March 15 at Sauk Center, Minn. Services were held March 20 in the Presbyterian Church at Paullina. The Rev. Robert Hickman officiated and burial was in the Marcus-Amherst Cemetery at Marcus under the direction of the Gaudian Funeral Home of Paullina.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 20, 1896, at Marcus and attended schools in the area. He farmed near Marcus and Cleghorn until moving to a farm north of Paullina in 1939. In 1958 he retired and moved to Sauk Center.

Survivors include the widow, Hattie; two sons, Donald of Ankeny, and Leland of Lawrence, Kan.; seven grandchilren; one great-grandhild; two brothers, John of Aurelia and Herman of Oyens; five sisters, Mrs. Marie Pallesen and Mrs. Martha Miller, both of Marcus, Mrs. Amelia Bogh of LeMars, Mrs. Rose Olson of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Esther Galvin of Cedar Rapids.
