Mrs. Gerald Pallesen, 47, of Marcus died Nov, 30, 1974, at her home after a two-year illness.

Mrs. Pallesen, the former Velma M. Hamilton, was born Oct. 9, 1927 at Hiawassee, GA to William and Mattie Moreland Hamilton. She was married May 29, 1949 at Greenville, SC to Gerald Pallesen and lived in Marcus since her marriage.

Survivors include the widower; three sons, Reginald of Iowa City, Gregory and Russell, both at home; a daughter June at home; two sister, Mrs. Rex Davenport of Atlanta, GA and Mrs. Mack Eades of Mountain Rest, SD; one brother, Miles Hamilton of Hiawassee, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Services were held at 10:00am Dec 2 in Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karlton Wagner officiating. Burial was in the Marcus-Amherst Cemetery under the direction of the Nelson-mauer Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Craig Dorr, Jack Clarkson, Paul Fischer, Leland Hogue, Loren Stowater, and Stanley Nervig.
