Funeral services for Ben C. Erdman 76 , were held from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee with the Rev. R.W. Reinhart officiating. Buriel was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Ben passed away Sat. evening, Oct. 26, at the Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia.
He was born Sept. 23, 1898. at New Vienna , Ia. On June 2, 1920 he was united in marriage to Faye Mummert, at Lismore, MN. Ben farmed nearly all his life until retireing to Aurelia in 1959. He served as a custodian at the Aurelia School for 3 years.
Ben is survived by his wife Faye ,3 daughters, Mrs. Paul (Vera) Pigott, of Cherokee, Mrs. John ( Bonnie) Dlougosch of Spencer, and Mrs. Dean (Beverly) Trapp of Cupertino , CA. and 1 son Robert Erdman and his wife Diane of Marcus. 9 grand-children, 2 great-gtandchildren, 7 sisters, Mrs. George Armstrong, Mrs. John Lorang, Mrs. Olivia Bauch, Mrs. Sophia Lynn, Mrs. Lucille Krogman amd Leo Erdman all of Lismore, Minn. , Mrs. Kate Murphy of Montana and Miss Mary Erdman of Worthington Minn. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
