Wilma R. Flanigan, 76, of 2205 480th St. Aurelia, Ia, died Tues. Jan. 9, 1996, in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee , Ia following a short illness.
Services will be today at 10:30 a.m. at the Imaculate Conception Church , Cherokee . Arrangements are under the direction of the Greenwood Funeral Homes , Cherokee.
Wilma was born Jan. 11, 1919 in Holstein, Iowa to John and Cora (Fritz) Leckband. She attended school in Holstein and graduated from Holstein High School. On Nov.21, 1942 she married Thomas Earl Flanigan in Cherokee. They farmed in the Cherokee area for over 50 yrs. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Ladies Union.
Survivors are her husband ; 3 daughters; Kathleen LaFluer and her husband Don of Minot ND, Rosie Schlickting and her husband Larry of Cherokee, and Elaine Flanigan of Cherokee, 1 son ; Robert and his wife Janice of Sioux City. 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; Corrine Schmidt and Golda Ehlert, Holstein
She was preceded in death be her parents; 1 brother; and 1 son Thomas in 1955.
