Lee Irvin Doupe, of Littleton Colorado passed away Thursday July 19, 2001 following a long illness.
Lee was born Sept. 25, 1928 in Aurelia, Ia. the eldest son of Arthur and Myrtle Doupe. he attended schools in Aurelia and Cherokee, Ia. graduating from Wilson High School in the class of 1947. He was married to Priscilla French on Feb. 14 1951 in Cleghorn Ia. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversery this past Feb. His life work included mechanics, farming, inventer, and food machinery technition with travels throughout the world. He had made his home in Littleton Colo. the past 22 years , retiring from PRC in Englewood in 1993. He enjoyed treveling, gardening, and working with his hands.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years , a daughter Glenda of Council Bluffs Ia. sons, Robert and Teri Doupe of Chillicothe, Mo ; John and Heidi Doupe of Littleton CO. One brother, Glenn Doupe of Iowa Falls, Ia. Funeral arrangements are pending from the Boothby Funeral home in Cherokee.
