Monte J. Doupe was born 9-22-1903. He died in 1987 in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.His home was on the family farm in Afton Township and he had been a resident of Cherokee County all of his life.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturay at the Boothby Funeral Home Dr. Eugene Tolstedt will officiate. Buriel will be in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee. There will be a family prayer at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Monte was born 9-22-1903 in Cherokee to Montiford and Mary ( Brown ) Doupe. On Feb. of 1933 he married Mary Beck. He had farmed all his life.
He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters. John, Mrs. James (Emma) Ware, Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Whitney, Robert, Charlie, Mrs. Forrest (Catherine) Ware, Mrs. Leland (Margaretta) Loucks, Mrs. Bert (Letha) Everett, Samual, Arhtur, Otis, .
Survivors include his wife, Mary and his sister ,Ruby Beck, and several nieces and nephews
