Frances Admire

Frances "Louise" Admire, 64, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Robert Rasmussen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Louise was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of James William and Dolores Ellen (Hiatt) Admire. She was raised in the Cherokee and Cleghorn, Iowa, area, but attended school and graduated from Westfield (Iowa) High School.

She was united in marriage to Marvin J. Godbersen on July 14, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon, Iowa. After her marriage, she lived in Anthon until 1985, when she moved to Sioux City and had resided here since.

She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed country music, crafts, movies, caring for others and her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Caroline LaJune Barnes of Anthon, Iowa; four grandchildren, Amanda Nelson of Anthon, Shawn Nelson of Anthon, Jacob Barnes of Anthon and Justice Isom of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Donna and Clark Isom of Sioux City; four nephews; and a niece.

Her family waiting at heaven's gates to welcome her home are Jesus; her parents; her grandparents; a son; a grandson; and a sister.
