Arlene Gosch, 70, of Ida Grove died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Morningside Rehab and Care Center in Ida Grove.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ida Grove, with the Rev. Kevin J. Freese officiating. Burial will be in Ida Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Ida Grove. Condolences may be sent online to www.christensenhuffman.com.
Born Feb. 13, 1936, in Cherokee, Iowa, Arlene Mabel Gosch was the daughter of Oscar H. and Mabel Peterson. She graduated from Fairview Consolidated School in Alta, Iowa, then attended Mankato College in Mankato, Minn.
She worked in Storm Lake, Iowa, at the recorder's office and at the Federal Land Bank prior to her marriage to Wayne Gosch on June 6, 1970.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed needlework and walking.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; two sons, Michael (Nia) Gosch of Ankeny, Iowa, and Jason Gosch of Ames, Iowa; three brothers, Marvin (Bev) Peterson of Alta, Iowa, and Bernard (Carol) Peterson and Stanley (Pat) Peterson, all of Aurelia, Iowa; a sister, Betty Peterson of Tampa, Fla.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
