Cinda Bettin, age 55, of Odebolt, died at her home on Friday, Dec.15, 2006.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec.19, 2006, at the United Methodist Church in Odebolt, under the direction of Christensen-Huffman Funeral Homes. The Reverend Kathy Spracklin officiated. Burial followed at the Clinton Center Cemetery, rural Odebolt.

Visitation was at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Odebolt on Monday from 4-8 p.m., with the family present from 5:30-8 p.m. Online condolences may be directed to www.christensenhuffman.com.

Born October 10, 1951, in Cherokee, Cinda Elaine Bettin was the daughter of Wendell L. and Dorothy M. (Tharp) Hill. She graduated from Aurelia High School in 1970, then attended Iowa State University.

On September 1, 1972, she was united in marriage to Mark D. Bettin in Aurelia. The couple made their home in Cherokee, and later settled on a farm near Odebolt. They were blessed with two children, Jade and Cale.

She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She was a gifted artisan and her unique vision and meticulous nature were visible in everything she touched.

She was a remarkable seamstress, quilter, and interior painter. Her travels afforded her the opportunity to expand her varied collections, which included teapots, bears, Russian boxes, dolls, and fabric. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Odebolt and especially enjoyed leading the Sunday school in song on the piano.

Survivors include her husband, Mark; a daughter, Jade Bettin of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a son, Cale Bettin of LeMars; her mother, Dorothy M. Hill of Cherokee; a brother, John (Midge) Hill of Cherokee; a sister, Susan (David) Wieland of Parkville, Mo.; as well as other extended family members and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Hill.
